Mary Stutts, MHA

Mary Stutts is the Chief Executive Officer of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), where she leads the global mission to accelerate the advancement and impact of women in the business of healthcare. HBA has chapters in 80 countries on six continents serving 160 Fortune 500 biopharma and healthcare corporate partners representing a global workforce of five million employees.

Stutts brings 25 years of global leadership for biopharma, healthcare, and media companies. Her expertise and cross functional acumen have provided global leadership to companies including Genentech, Bayer, Bristol Myers Squibb, Sumitovant, UnitedHealth Group, Kaiser Permanente, Stanford Health Care and Comcast NBCUniversal.

She excels in leading strategic growth transformations in the face of rapid technology and market changes while executing multi-faceted campaigns in dynamic, high stakes competitive environments.  She creates environments conducive to business growth by integrating customized digital analytics, data intelligence and stakeholder engagement to increase market penetration.

Stutts is an advisory board member of Slone Partners and venture backed digital health companies Wellist, Trial Library and Hawthorne Effect. Previously Stutts served on the board of directors and Nominating/Governance Committee for Zogenix [NASDAQ: ZGNX], acquired by UCB.

Stutts earned, a Master of Health Administration degree at the University of Southern California and is also a graduate of the Executive Program on Strategy and Organization at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
