Dr. Emir Sandhu is a Partner of Sandbox Clinical Ventures and the Blue Venture Funds. He serves on the Board of Directors of Ultromics, Onc.AI, and Limber Health, and serves as a Board Observer for SonarMD, Octave Bioscience, Exai Bio, and Somatus. He helps manage the Fund’s investments in PicassoMD, and previously Thrive (NASDAQ: EXAS).

Dr. Sandhu is a physician and completed his radiology residency at Stanford University and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He served as adjunct faculty in Diagnostic Radiology at Stanford University School of Medicine and was selected for the 2020 faculty teaching award by Stanford residents and students.

Prior to Sandbox, Dr. Sandhu consulted on medical innovation initiatives at Google and was on the founding team at OpenBiome, a nonprofit organization in Somerville, Massachusetts, which supports research on the human microbiome and has treated over 50,000 patients suffering from C. difficile infection.

Emir earned an MD from Harvard Medical School, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and BA in Economics from The University of North Carolina as a Morehead-Cain Scholar.
